WALT: create animal art using 2D geometry shapes, then use multiplication to calculate the number of vertices and faces.

This is a butterfly i drew of different shapes and colours. We learnt how to calculate the vertices and faces of all the shapes in our drawings and added them up. In my drawing there is 242 vertices and also 242 sides/faces. The part i found hardest was trying to make both sides of the drawing equal and trying to calculate the numbers. The part i found the easiest was colouring it in. :)

Creating Cartoons

WALT: Use Google Drawings and PNG downloads.

I learned how to use Google Drawings to make my own cartoon. We were to make 1 animal and 2 people. I only made one person but I think it looks decent for a first try. The person I made was Mr Pahi and he looks pretty swag; Also made a butterfly.

The part I found was most difficult was trying to find clothes for offbrand Mr Pahi and it took me a while to find a face. The arms were quite hard to try and switch around to make them look normal (ish).

I can do better next time by searching for better options for clothes and a face.

Also giving Mr Pahi arms that look like they're not broken.

 

Using Google Drawings to CREATE a Poster to Introduce Yourself

I  learned how to use Google drawings to make a poster about myself. I used my pepeha to represent my mountain, river, boat, whanau and myself.

The part I found was most challenging was trying to finish on time and figuring out how to download it and insert it onto the Google slides. I will do better next time by asking for instructions and/or finding different tools that can help me.
